What's going wrong at City and United?

Image
It's been an awful Christmas so far for United and City Let's explore what has been going wrong Author -  Liam Chadwick Man City: Champions to nowhere There's an obvious argument now that City's players are too old and maybe the manager should have made more changes to the squad in the summer. However, it would’ve been a tremendous bit of bravery for Pep to sell a club legend in order to get playing time for some of the ex-City players now thriving elsewhere. Even the 'younger' ones are struggling. Erling Haaland scored 10 goals in the first five matches of the Premier League season, putting him on pace to break his own single-season goals record. However, he has only scored three times in the subsequent 13 games and has provided just one assist. Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah has taken the lead in goals scored this season. Under Pep Guardiola, City has consistently scored the most goals and generated the highest expected goals in the league. What transformed them i...
