Johnny Marr is a musician, songwriter and singer.  He first achieved fame as the guitarist and co-songwriter of the Smiths. Author - Jamie P Source | Vladimir Flickr Early life and the start of his carser Born and raised in Manchester, England, Marr formed his first band as a teenager  He was part of several bands with Andy Rourke before forming the Smiths with Morrissey in 1982.  An incredible journey with the Smiths.  The Smiths attained commercial success and were critically acclaimed, with Marr's jangle pop guitar style becoming a distinctive part of the band's sound. His tenure with The Smiths was a defining period in British music, shaping the sound of indie rock for generations. He won the lot at Old Trafford and is still spoken about as being one of the club's finest defenders Author - Liam C Source | chanjack-memorabilia/  on Flickr Denis Irwin began his career with Leeds United in 1983, making 72 appearances in the Second Division, before moving on to Oldham Athletic on a free transfer in 1986.  He helped Oldham reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup and the final of the League Cup in 1990. His performances captured the attention of someone high-profile. In the summer of 1990, he was transferred to Manchester United for a fee of £625,000. Anthony Howard Wilson (known by many as Tony Wilson) was a British record label owner, radio and television presenter, nightclub manager and a journalist for Granada Television and the BBC. Tony Wilson was behind some of our most successful bands. He was one of the five co-founders of Factory Records and the founder and manager of the Haçienda nightclub. Wilson put in some immense work in promoting the culture of Manchester throughout his career His involvement in popular music stemmed from hosting Granada's culture and music programme 'So It Goes'. Football: Lincoln City 4 - 2 Bolton Wanderers

Lincoln all but ended Bolton’s play-off ambitions on Easter Monday. This was achieved with a pulsating 4-2 win at the LNER Stadium, where veteran striker James Collins struck twice. Jay Matete and Alex Murphy replied for Bolton, who slipped to a fourth straight defeat at the worst possible time. The Imps took an early lead when Ring’s inswinging cross, delivered from a short corner routine, sailed through a crowded box and nestled into the far corner of Nathan Baxter’s net. Ben House went close to doubling the advantage, but Baxter saved well from his flicked effort. Moments later, Lincoln were awarded a penalty after Ethan Erhahon was bundled over by David Abimbola.  Collins then stepped up and lashed the spot-kick into the roof of the net to make it 2-0 after just 17 minutes. Stockport County confirmed their place in the play-offs This was secured with a late victory over a Huddersfield Town side that was reduced to ten men. Author- Josh D A closer look at what happened at Edgeley Park Josh Koroma gave the visitors the lead just after the hour, finding too much space on the edge of the box before drilling past Corey Addai. But County responded with resilience, skipper Fraser Horsfall heading home from an Ollie Norwood corner to draw the hosts level. The momentum swung firmly in County’s favour in the closing stages when they were awarded a penalty in the 86th minute. Norwood stepped up and calmly converted, sending Addai the wrong way to complete the turnaround. Wigan Athletic will be playing League One football next season  James Carragher's first-half header gave his side a 1-0 victory over Rotherham that mathematically secured their League One safety with three matches left to play. The only alteration in the entire squad saw Dion Rankine come in for former Joe Hungbo on the bench. How the game started and how Wigan took the lead After a relatively dour first half-hour in Wigan, Latics effectively took control of the match. First, Maleace Asamoah had an effort saved by Dillon Phillips.
