Football: Wrexham 0 - 0 Bolton
Bolton Wanderers picked up a hard-fought point at Wrexham
Promotion hopefuls Wrexham and Bolton Wanderers battled to a tense 0-0 draw at the Stok Racecourse in League One.
With the match kicking off ahead of the day's other fixtures, both sides had the opportunity to strengthen their positions in the race for promotion. However, clear-cut chances were few and far between, with neither goalkeeper seriously tested.
Wrexham came closest to snatching a late winner when Jack Marriott broke through the Bolton defence with just three minutes remaining, only to see his low strike drift narrowly wide. Moments later, Bolton almost grabbed victory themselves, but Arthur Okonkwo produced a superb save to deny Aaron Collins.
Elsewhere in the early kick-off, League One leaders Birmingham secured a crucial win over second-placed Wycombe Wanderers at St Andrew’s.
As a result, Wrexham remain third, two points behind Wycombe, missing the chance to draw level on points. Meanwhile, Bolton’s draw sees them climb to sixth, edging into the play-off spots ahead of Leyton Orient and Charlton by a single point.

Jamie, a Bolton fan, told us: "I thought that was a good away performance from Bolton. We defended resolutely and created the odd opportunity to grab a goal. A draw probably a fair result in the end. A hard fought point. Well done Wanderers."
This was a view supported by fellow Bolton fans Gemma, Peter and Paul who were all pleased with the resilience on display.
