Kyle Wootton came closest to finding a breakthrough for County, rattling the crossbar in the second half, but neither side showed the cutting edge needed to secure victory.

Charlton had an early chance inside three minutes when Miles Leaburn fired wide under pressure, while Stockport had a penalty appeal waved away moments later after Callum Camps went down under a challenge from Thierry Small.

A small dent in play-off hopes? One County fan responds.

George, a Stockport season ticket holder, spoke about their promotion hopes. He said: "That was a frustrating match. We had more shots, more possession, and created the better chances, but we just couldn’t find the finishing touch"

"The players put in a shift, and you could see the effort, but we were unlucky. Despite the dropped points, we’re still in a strong position, and I have no doubt we’ll make the play-offs. The fans are right behind the team, and we’ve seen how good we can be when we’re at our best. If we stay focused, take our chances, and keep pushing, we’ll be right up there come the end of the season. There's even a chance we can get automatic promotion."
