Trafford: Five charged as result of Operation Wellington

Five people have been charged following a day of action in Trafford.

Operation Wellington took place across the district yesterday (24 May 2022) when a total of nine people were arrested as officers carried out a series of arrest warrants.

  • Lee Alan Bird (5/3/1989), of Lemon Tree Grove, Urmston, has been charged with a breach of a court order
  • Haley Coleman (11/12/1981), of Hatton’s Court, Stretford, has been charged with theft
  • Callum Hinds (20/8/1996), of Helsby Road, Sale, has been charged with possession with intent to supply drugs and aggravated vehicle taking
  • Bernard Gordon (27/12/1976), of Mulberry Court, Salford, has been charged with theft from a motor vehicle
  • Tony Porter (4/2/93), of Ashton Lane, Sale, has been charged with failing to appear at court

They are all due to appear at court over the next weeks. GMP's Trafford district plans to run similar days of action at regular intervals throughout the year. The main aim of the operation is to tackle organised crime across Greater Manchester.
