Bury: Local college staff complete Education and Training Foundation Mentoring Programme

Several staff members at Bury College have recently successfully completed the Education and Training Foundation Mentoring Programme and received recognition for their efforts.

The programme is aimed at Further Education practitioners who want to improve their professional and personal development by mentoring colleagues.

They benefitted from 40 hours of online mentoring and completed a blended learning programme while supporting staff members in college.

The course has enhanced their mentoring skills and enabled them to access and share best practise with other Further Education providers nationally. They were also able to build professional networks and develop internal and external relationships.

Andrea Plimmer, Assistant Director of Health and Social Care at Bury College, and who completed the Advanced Mentoring Programme, was delighted with how the course went: “The online sessions were inspiring and having the opportunity to work with colleagues from other colleges across the country, whilst being led by the ETF, was great too. The course was full of valuable content that mentors will benefit from. The information and support provided was helpful.”
